Reverie: AUv3 Plate Reverb
Five reverbs in one plugin — from tight plate to long cathedral tails
What it is
Reverie is an iOS AUv3 reverb effect with five engines — plate, room, chamber, hall, and spring — built on a real-time C++ DSP kernel. It runs inside any AUv3 host (AUM, GarageBand, Cubasis, Logic Pro for iPad, Loopy Pro, and more) with a dark, touch-first studio interface and full control over the sound: decay, size, pre-delay up to 200 ms, damping, diffusion, low and high cut, modulation, stereo width, and dry/wet. A Reverse shape turns any engine's tail into a backwards swell, a Space visualiser draws the reverb field as you play, and Send mix mode runs it on a parallel or aux bus.
Who it’s for
Musicians, producers, and sound designers on iPhone and iPad who want a reverb they can shape — from tight plate and spring textures to wide halls — inline in their favorite AUv3 host.
Features
Five reverb engines
Plate, room, chamber, hall, and spring in one plugin — from a dense metal plate to a wide hall and a lively spring tank.
Reverse shape
Turns any engine's tail into a backwards swell instead of a decay.
Space visualiser
Draws the reverb field as you play, and folds away when you want the controls back.
Deep shaping controls
Decay, size, pre-delay up to 200 ms, damping, and diffusion take you from tight ambience to long, shimmering tails.
Tone shaping
Low and high cut filters tame boom and sizzle, while modulation depth and rate add gentle movement to the tail.
Width, mix, and send routing
Set stereo width, dry/wet balance, and output gain, or switch to Send mode to run the reverb on a parallel or aux bus.
Factory presets
Six starting points for vocals, drums, ambience, and more.
Works in any AUv3 host
Runs as an Audio Unit extension on iPhone and iPad — AUM, GarageBand, Cubasis, Logic Pro for iPad, Loopy Pro, and other compatible hosts.
Fully accessible
VoiceOver labels every knob, toggle, and meter, and knobs are adjustable — engine selection included.

Five reverbs in one plugin
Reverie ships five classic reverb engines in a single AUv3 plugin. The plate delivers the dense, fast-attacking signature of a metal plate, built on a Dattorro-style feedback tank. The room, chamber, and hall open up spaces from tight ambience to a wide concert room, and the spring models a vintage tank with a true dispersive allpass chain and mechanical transit delay — the boing is modelled, not sampled. Switching engines keeps your mix settings and adapts the space instantly.
Shaped, not just dialed
A reverb is more than a knob. Decay and size set the space; pre-delay (up to 200 ms) separates the source from the tail; damping shapes how the tail darkens over time; diffusion smooths the response. Low and high cut filters keep the reverb from clouding the low end or adding sizzle, modulation depth and rate add gentle movement, and width places the space in the stereo field. The Reverse shape turns any engine's tail into a backwards swell.
See the space
The Space visualiser draws the reverb field as you play, so you can watch the tail build and decay. It folds away when you want the controls back. A compact channel-strip view keeps the essentials reachable in an AUM slot, while wide hosts and iPad get the full studio layout.
Real-time DSP
The reverb runs as a C++ DSP kernel on the audio render thread with the host's real-time priority — no offline processing, no artificial latency beyond the delay lines you dial in. Every parameter is smoothed to avoid clicks and zipper noise as you move controls, and the plugin passes audio through cleanly when bypassed.
Send or insert
Insert mode runs Reverie on the track itself, while Send mode makes it a parallel or aux-bus effect. Stereo width, dry/wet, and output gain are all available, and parameters can be automated in hosts that support it. Six factory presets cover vocals, drums, ambience, and more.
Accessible by design
Every knob, toggle, and meter carries a VoiceOver label, and knobs are adjustable — engine selection included.
